Cape Coral has one of the biggest public pickleball footprints in Southwest Florida. In 2024 the city opened The Courts at Lake Kennedy, a 32-court complex, and the neighborhood parks add dozens more free courts on top of that. All told there are more than 50 public pickleball courts across the city. Here is where to play, whether you want a reserved court at the big complex or a free morning game down the street.
Every count below comes straight from the City of Cape Coral parks pages. The park courts are free and first come, first served, open sunrise to sunset unless we note lights. Several parks share their courts with tennis, so the pickleball lines go down when players show up.

Cape Coral's own indoor option is the portable court at Four Freedoms Park above. For dedicated, climate-controlled clubs, the closest ones sit just across the bridge in Fort Myers.

32 courts at Lake Kennedy make this the largest public pickleball facility in Lee County. Everything else in the city is a neighbourhood park by comparison, which is not a criticism, just a matter of scale.
Jim Jeffers, Camelot, Joe Stonis and Sands each have around 4 courts, and Gator Trails and Giuffrida have 2. On a busy winter morning these are often a faster way onto a court than queueing at Lake Kennedy.
It is the indoor option inside the city, which matters more than visitors expect between June and September.
Cape Coral's seasonal population swells from January through March. Go early or go to one of the smaller parks.

Four Freedoms Park has indoor courts within the city. Ace Pickleball Club and PickleRage, both just over in Fort Myers, are the other nearby indoor options.

The neighbourhood parks are generally open public courts. The larger Lake Kennedy complex operates as a racquet club, so check current drop-in rates before you go.
