East Naples Community Park hosts the US Open Pickleball Championships every April. In the run-up and during the tournament the 64 courts there are largely committed, and the whole county gets busier. If you are visiting to play casually, aim for any month except April, or plan on Veterans, Pelican Bay or Fleischmann instead.
From May through September the middle of the day is genuinely hard on outdoor courts. Collier County's organised drop-in play runs on weekday mornings for exactly this reason. Play before 10am, or go indoors to The Picklr Naples South or the Greater Naples YMCA.
